Heavy Lights is my passion and dream. The scope of the Heavy Lights project is to bring light to the world. We strive to create the most amazing lights and promote the lights of others, in hopes of sharing with everyone. We are all meant to shine.
My whole life I have been in love with electronic dance music. A couple years ago, I attended my first EDM event and discovered the beautiful culture built upon it. My most anticipated event was the Electric Daisy Carnival, and I wanted to give back and enhance the atmosphere I loved so much. I created an LED helmet of my favorite Star Wars character, Boba Fett. I poured everything the nerd, the tinkerer, the biomedical engineer, and the raver inside of me had into building the helmet and writing the lightshow. I had no idea the effect it would have..
The helmet blew away hundreds of people, I could literally see their minds being blown. The happiness my lights bring to so many inspires me to share and spread the light to everyone. I rebooted this project from square one, I captured the magic of the helmet and engineered solutions to its shortcomings. The biggest issue of all? They were heavy... Heavy Lights.
Heavy Lights now has a different meaning, it draws its name from how advanced, powerful, and beautiful the lights are. Heavy Lights are not made in a factory, they are made in-house by my 3D printer ‘Blue’, my robot ‘Red’, my friends and I. They are science and art, a collaboration of man and machine, raw emotion transcribed in pure code.. they are Heavy Lights.
Shine Bright!
